In 2005, the house of natural fiber, yogyakarta new media art laboratory, successfully compiled the Yogyakarta International Videowork Festival #01, 2005. Participants came from Indonesia, Slovenia, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands, Thailand, UK, France, and USA.

In this YIVF #02 we would not presenting video works from video artists coming from different countries.
We collaborate with LIP (Lembaga Indonesia Prancis/ French Cultural Centre), which presents videoworks from Fresnoy - National Centre for Contemporary Art, France and Yogyakarta, with Indonesian video artists and communities.
11 videoworks from Fresnoy will be linked with videoworks from 11 local Yogyakarta artists and communities. The videoworks which will be presented come from many communities and individuals that share various interests and social status.
